ALL ABOARD
In the 1940’s, the Los Angeles Red Car Subway once transported over 60,000 travelers a day. Built in 1925, this downtown Los Angeles underground subway station is full of hidden potential. The 4th and Hill building has sat vacant for years but it is now time to bring life back into the space. The ground floor level is shared with the lobby of luxury apartments, Metro 417. The lower levels are below ground where the subway once ran. Now, these three floors will feature a multifaceted culinary experience that showcases a market and restaurants with food from around the world. This food-centric marketplace will create a public space that brings people together to showcase the culture and diversity of the city.
